32 milk crates, 17 custom builds, 13 vendors, 4 DJs and 1 hike & stretch class later, our first ever MULTI MARKET is wrapped! On May 15th, we had our first event in LA and to say it was a labour of love is an understatement. We worked closely with Miranda Carpentry to build out tables, shelves and booths in just one week prior and our team worked endlessly the day before the market to assemble, paint and vinyl the custom builds. We wouldn’t have been able to pull this off without our community coming together to support us in our vision. It was a whole lot of prep, but it was all worth it in the end.
Here are some of our fav highlights from the weekend:
- All of our food vendors sold out in less than 3 hours
- Hike Clerb led a hike on behalf of MULTI, Sari Sari Studio and Kim Saira in celebration of AAPI month
- Our grocery wall was complete with custom branded nostalgic goods
- Earned Not Given Club led a stretch and mobility class at the market
- Our DJs kept the vibes right and energy high
- Both our tattoo artists booked up within the first hour
- MULTI gifted 50 free bouquets and countless newspapers
To everyone who came out, our community and volunteers, THANK YOU. We are overwhelmed by the support from our community and so grateful to be welcomed with open arms into LA.
