Almost a full year ago, we published a journal on HOW THE MULTI PATCH ELEVATES THE HYDROCOLLOID EXPERIENCE. A year later, we're here to share with you how we've elevated the MULTI Patch 2.0 experience even further! Didn't think that could happen, did ya? 

 

First things first, let's be clear what hydrocolloid is: Hydrocolloid is a medical-grade material that has previously been found to be helpful for wound healing and ulcers – and is now found to be effective in quickly relieving the skin of pesky breakouts. Okay? Okay, great.

To refresh your memory, you're probably firstly wondering: what makes the MULTI Patch better than your average hydrocolloid patch? Through many tests, trials and errors, we can confidently say that our MULTI Patch's enhanced thickness and mechanical design that allows the patch to stick for longer, and absorb more fluid than the average hydrocolloid patch.

So let's get into it, huh? The MULTI Patch was already such a fan fave, how is it possible that we've made it even better?! Let us tell you. 

Our updated MULTI Patch 2.0 contains two ingredients:

• Lactobacillus ferment extract which regulates the skin’s bacterial composition at the application site. This is a postbiotic ingredient created by the fermentation of Lactobacillus bacteria, one of the most abundant types of bacteria in our body. (Ahem, biomimicry!!!!) Lactobacillus ferment extract has previously been shown to inhibit the growth of many different bacteria and fungi, including acne causing bacteria and fungi. Fun fact! Lactobacillus fermentation is used to produce sauerkraut and kimchi from cabbage.

• Mint extract which has anti-bacterial and anti-inflammatory properties. And even better, it provides a subtle cooling relief to the site. AND it smells sweet.

Overall, the MULTI Patch 2.0 works by lactic acid derived bacteria (lactobacillus bacteria) acidifiying the environment of the application area, making it too acidic for pathogenic bacteria (acne-causing bacteria) to live and then we added mint extract to provide antibacterial and cooling properties to the application area. 

 

We are proud to say, we have the only patch on the market that contains a postbiotic ferment extract that is previously demonstrated to regulate the skin’s bacterial composition at the application area. Plus, our mint extract also provides a subtle immediate relief to small lesions of the skin, such as acne, bug bites, cold sores, and cuts! It's cute AND versatile! We love that!
